For selecting the right transducer you have to consider different aspects. What shall be the measuring range of the transducer? How precise shall it be? What size, shape and weight shall it have? Is there a special working environment concerning temperature or humidity? With what measuring device shall it work? How robust shall it be? How vulnerable shall it be to disturbances like bending moments and shear forces? Is it loaded statically or dynamically?
