By application of the combined experiences with the areas of force standard
machines and force transfer standards GTM has created a series of calibration
machines which sets new benchmarks for force reference standards in terms
of measuring uncertainty and economy.
For capacities of 50 kN up to 5 MN machine designs are available which are
tailored for the practical aspects of day-to-day calibration work. Measuring
ranges of up to 1:100 are possible with a single reference transducer. With two
reference transducers forces from 0.1 % to 100 % of capacity can be
applied. As usual the operation is PC controlled and almost entirely automated, including
the data acquisition and processing.
Technical Description
The machines consist of a robust base frame, a two-column load frame with
tension and compression test space, one or more reference force transducers
(GTM KTN-D) and a hydraulic system for force generation. As an option, a
PC-based data acquisition system is available.
