Bolt Friction Sensor
For measuring force and torque at the bolt head and thread
The GTM Bolt Friction Measuring Head is a combination of a measuring sensor for the axial force and the
partial torque at the bolt head and two torque transducers to measure the total applied torque.
The structure of the two-component force/torque sensor is designed so that a high degree of decoupling
is achieved between the signals of the axial force and the head torque.
This combination of sensors forms a three-component bolt friction measuring head which offers the
possibility to measure the axial clamping force of the joint and simultaneously the frictional torques
at the bolt head and at the thread.
A high degree of measuring certainty is achieved by the outstanding decoupling between the three signals
which is due to the stress-optimised shape of the measuring body.
Together with the high sensitivity of all three channels the generated signals are only little affected
by disturbing influences.
