#Renovation work at GTM almost complete
Two fully equipped kitchenettes, a large staff lounge in Bickenbach, new sanitary facilities, and air conditioning—the comprehensive renovation of the GTM company building is now complete.
This marks the final phase of the extensive modernization work at GTM's Bickenbach site. It is part of the investments GTM has made in recent years to prepare itself for the future and lay the foundation for its growth strategy.
The newly equipped offices for the Development division are now complete and occupied. One floor below, there is a modern lounge area, designed in line with the corporate design and serving as a social space for the entire GTM team in Bickenbach. Two kitchenettes offer enough space and facilities to prepare meals during breaks, cook together, chat and recharge your batteries. The sanitary facilities have also been completely renovated and refurbished.
Marcel Richter, Managing Director of GTM: “The new premises also offer us the opportunity to hold future training courses, customer seminars, and events such as a metrology day focusing on GTM solutions for transducers, calibration services, and measuring equipment—we already have some initial ideas in the pipeline.”
GTM completed the first phase of the extensive work at the Bickenbach site at the end of 2022, modernizing the IT department and some offices for the management and the Product Management & Marketing, Human Resources, Order Acquisition, and Customer Success Management departments.
The installation of a photovoltaic system with a generator output of 76.95 kW on the roof at the end of 2023 was also part of the investment; in 2024, it produced over 66,000 kWh. The solar power is used entirely for the company's own needs, for example in the production hall for lighting, air conditioning, and furnaces, but also in the wall boxes for e-mobility that were installed at the same time as the PV system.
“Over the last few years, the construction work that was carried out in parallel with our day-to-day business was often challenging. We all had to improvise a little and also move closer together in terms of space,” says Marcel Richter. “But times like these always have something good about them! It has given our high team spirit a further boost. And I am sure that we will all be able to build on this seamlessly with the now completed social space. I am already looking forward to showing the first partners and customers the new, bright, and inviting rooms here in Bickenbach!”
