The reference coordinate system is the coordinate system to which the output variable values of a multicomponent system refer during a calibration. Since the multicomponent reference standard and the calibration object usually have different coordinate origins, a coordinate transformation must be performed to determine the true forces and moments. The agreed coordinate system is the reference coordinate system. As a rule, the coordinate system of the calibration object is used for this purpose. The reference coordinate system is therefore not automatically the coordinate system of the reference standard.
