Flange Mount Column Load Cell for High Forces, with a very Broad Measuring Spectrum from 25 kN to 10 MN
Originally designed for high forces, the load cells of the RF series are suitable for nominal loads from 25 kN to 10 MN. That makes it the GTM force transducer series with the broadest measuring range. The versions above 100 kN can be screwed on from the sensor side. This eliminates the need for through holes in the crowns and cross-arms, as well as expensive flange adaptors. Another highlight is the optional tubular feedthrough, for cable tests, for example. With a permanent cable connection the RF series load cell achieve IP rating IP68. The RF-I series supplements this force transducer series with adaptation dimensions for the once widespread Schenck sensor for test engineering.
Despite their relatively low mass, RF series load cells have very good overload tolerance and are especially resistant to any shear forces and moments that are introduced. The RF series is also designed for easy and flexible integration in existing systems.
Force transducers of the RF series are ideal for critical load conditions with requirements for high precision and insensitivity to eccentricity or high bending moments. Some examples are dynamic applications and cyclic testing in test machines and test benches.
